New Forest District Council Business Rate Payer Budget Consultation
|
As part of the council’s annual budget setting process, we are interested to understand the views of our business community.
Despite assumed increases in income due to government led council tax and the non-domestic rate multiplier rises, plus the council’s fees and charges strategy and planned savings from the council’s transformation programme, the council’s finances remain challenging.
Our Medium Term Financial Plan as presented in the October and December Cabinet updates, presently shows a budget gap for 2025/26 of £466,000 (December Draft) increasing cumulatively to £2,693,000 over the 4-year period to 31 March 2029.
