The reducing the north, east and south side of the Oak tree would potentially result in the removal of a significant proportion of live leaf bearing crown which would be of detriment to the physiological condition of the tree and impact on its visual amenity value. A lesser reduction could be undertaken without any significant impact on the tree whilst achieving the desired objectives.

The tree works permitted in this decision are considered reasonable routine management, enabling the ongoing retention of the tree as a positive amenity feature to the area.
