Welcome to the NFDC Self and custom build register.

Demand for all forms of housing in this district is high and readily developable land is comparatively scarce. Joining the register assists the council to understand potential demand for self and custom build plots. It does not mean that a plot will be made available to those on the register either by the council or by anyone else; or that demand for self and custom build plots can or will be met.

Where plots are available it is likely to be at market residential land values.

Your details will remain on the register for two years from the date of registration unless you ask for the information to be removed before then. You will be asked if you wish to remain on the register prior to the end of the two year period and every two years subsequently. This will be done by email and it is your responsibility to notify the council of any change in contact details.

We will publish annual summary statistics about the self and custom build register but we will not publish, release or divulge information about individuals on the register.
