Council Tax - Application for a Single Person Discount

This form is to apply for a discount from your Council Tax due to single occupancy.

You can only apply if the property is your main residence and you are the only adult occupier at the address. An adult is someone aged 18 or over.

You can make an application on behalf of another person.

To be eligible you must be:

a named person on the Council Tax bill, or consent to complete this form on their behalf
the only adult living in your home

To fill in this form you will need:

your Council Tax account number
details of any adults who have moved out, including the date

Note that you cannot make an application for this discount in advance - please apply after your circumstances have changed.
